About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how FairTaxi uses cookies and similar technologies on its marketing website (www.fairtaxi.ie) and within the admin dashboard. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They can be “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” (remain for a set period).

Our marketing website: cookieless analytics

The FairTaxi marketing website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visitor trends. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use any cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual users across sites. It uses anonymised, aggregated data derived from server‑side requests. No consent is required under the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011), because Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies and stores no information on your device.

We do not use any advertising cookies, third‑party tracking pixels, or social media plug‑ins on our marketing site.

Admin dashboard cookies

The FairTaxi admin dashboard (used by FairTaxi staff) uses a single HttpOnly session cookie to maintain an authenticated session. This cookie is strictly necessary for the secure operation of the dashboard and does not store personal data beyond a session identifier. It is deleted when you log out or close the browser.

The admin dashboard also uses an Authorization header containing a token for API requests. This is not a cookie and is used solely for authentication.

No other cookies

No other types of cookies (targeting, analytics, preference) are used by FairTaxi services.

Managing cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Because our marketing site uses no cookies, changing your browser settings will not affect your experience. For the admin dashboard, disabling strictly necessary session cookies would prevent login.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on our website.
